Assistant Secretary-Treasurer
On behalf of the PRSD Board of Trustees, I am pleased to announce the appointment of RHONDA SMITH as Assistant Secretary-Treasurer of Prairie Rose School Division effective May 14, 2018.
Rhonda brings to the position a variety of experiences in accounting, financial management, business administration, budget preparation and control, and computer applications. Her related work experience includes positions with government, crown corporations, financial institutions, health care, education, agri-business, transportation, small businesses, and non-profit organizations.
Rhonda’s strong accounting and financial management skills, effective communication skills, and her commitment to positive and professional leadership, will ensure that PRSD is best prepared to plan for expected budgetary challenges at a time in which PRSD works through a succession planning process within the finance department.
With this announcement, Mr. Gerard Lesage, Secretary-Treasurer/CFO, will reduce his employment status with PRSD, effective July 1, 2018, by 40%.
