Prairie Rose School Division is searching for a full time principal for St. Paul’s Collegiate; effective February 1, 2016, or sooner.
St. Paul’s Collegiate is a dual track grade 7-12 school located in Elie, Manitoba, which is approximately 31 kilometers west of Winnipeg on Highway #1. The school has a professional and support staff compliment of 34 for 180 students.
St. Paul’s Collegiate is a vibrant school. The school provides a variety of strong and innovative programs to accommodate and support its diverse student population. The staff and students are actively involved in extra-curricular activities.
The school’s next principal will continue to provide effective school leadership as he/she works with St. Paul’s Collegiate and its community to promote lifelong learning that is consistent with Prairie Rose School Division’s Mission, Vision and Values.
The selected candidate will be an experienced leader who has a solid instructional and administrative background in middle and senior years’ dual track education. The selected candidate will also bring an established administrative and school-community facilitator record to the position. Fluency in both official languages would be preferred.
The selected candidate will be a demonstrated life-long learner who has a Bachelor of Education degree and who is either working towards or has completed a Masters’ degree in education administration, special education, or curriculum development. A Level II Principal’s certificate would be considered an asset.
