Miami School is recruiting for a 1.0 FTE Principal effective the 2017-2018 school year.
Miami School is a K-12 school located in Miami, Manitoba, which is approximately 14 kilometers south of Carman, MB on Highway #3 and 18 kilometers west on Highway 23. The school has a professional and support staff compliment of 34 for 264 students.
The Principal is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school; ensuring that division policies and procedures are observed and that all students are supervised in a safe and welcoming learning environment. The Principal will serve as a role model and assist staff and students with achieving an optimal educational experience.
The selected candidate for the position must have proven strengths as an experienced leader who has a solid instructional and administrative background in K-12 education. The selected candidate will also bring an established administrative and school-community facilitator record to the position.
The selected candidate will be a demonstrated life-long learner who has a Bachelor of Education degree and who is either working towards or has completed a Masters’ degree in education administration. A Level II Principal’s certificate would be considered an asset.
