This CTS cluster recognizes skills achieved by a student who participates in a combination of in-school and community-based activity. Learning activities may be initiated either in school or on the work site. The reciprocal relationship between the school and the local industry mentor/sponsor enables students to develop knowledge skills and attitudes commensurate with the complex technological environment in which they work and live.

The “Precision Agricultural/Bioscience” program is a unique strand of the CTS Program providing Hutterite Colony students with an opportunity to gain a comprehensive view of precision farming in Manitoba. Program content draws on current evolving scientific research and resulting technology that engages colony youth and their local mentors in learning activities that facilitate the development of essential knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
