On Friday, April 20, forty Gr. 9-12 students from PRSD participated in the Southwest Regional Envirothon Competition at Spruce Woods. Envirothon is an annual hands-on environmental education competition for high school students, designed to encourage team work, problem-solving skills, and public speaking skills while fostering an appreciation for environmental issues. PRSD first particpated in the Envirothon competition 9 years ago with one team from Carman Collegiate. This year, teams from Miami, Elm Creek, Carman and St. Paul’s competed against students from across the southwest region of the province. Next year, we look forward to having teams representing all the high schools in our division. Great job PRSD Envirothon students & teacher advisors!
