Principal/Teacher, Term
Prairie Rose School Division is searching for a full time term principal/teacher for Roland School; effective January 25, 2016 to February 3, 2017, or the return of the incumbent. The position consists of 35% administrative responsibilities and a 65% teaching assignment which includes Resource.
Roland School is a K to 6 school with 12 professional and support staff, and an enrolment of 71 students. Roland is located approximately 18 kms southeast of Carman on PTH #23.
Roland School is a very progressive school. The school provides a variety of programs to accommodate and support all learners and enjoys excellent community and parental support.
The successful applicant will continue to provide effective school leadership as he/she works with Roland School and its community to promote lifelong learning that is consistent with Prairie Rose School Division’s Mission, Vision and Values.
The selected candidate will be an aspiring and experienced leader who has a solid instructional and administrative background in early and middle years’ education. The selected candidate will also bring an established administrative and school-community facilitator record to the position.
The selected candidate will be a demonstrated life-long learner who has a Bachelor of Education degree and who is either working towards or has completed a Masters’ degree in education administration, special education, or curriculum development. A Level I Principal’s certificate would be considered an asset.
