Principal/Teacher – St. Francois Xavier Community School
St. Francois Xavier Community School is recruiting for a .75 FTE Principal and .25 FTE Teacher (will be determined based on qualifications) effective January 8, 2018.
St. Francois Xavier Community School is a K-6 school located in St. Francois Xavier, Manitoba, which is approximately 17 kilometers west on Highway #1 from the perimeter highway. The school has a professional and support staff compliment of 21 for 162 students.
The Principal is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school; ensuring that division policies and administrative procedures are observed and that all students are supervised in a safe and welcoming learning environment. The Principal will serve as a role model and assist staff and students with achieving an optimal educational experience.
The selected candidate for the position must have proven strengths as an experienced leader who has a solid instructional and administrative background in K-6 education. The selected candidate will also bring an established administrative and school-community facilitator record to the position.
The selected candidate will be a demonstrated life-long learner who has a Bachelor of Education degree and shows evidence of post-graduate study leading to or completion of a Masters’ Degree in Administration, Educational Leadership, or other relevant area. A School Leadership Certificate is considered an asset.
