Vice-Principal – Carman Collegiate
Carman Collegiate is recruiting for a Vice-Principal effective the 2017-2018 school year. This 1.0 FTE position consists of 0.5 FTE vice principal and 0.5 FTE instructional.
Carman Collegiate is a 7-12 school located in Carman, Manitoba, which is approximately 65 kilometers southwest of Winnipeg, MB on Highway #3. The school has a professional and support staff compliment of 38 for 295 students.
The vice-principal will continue to provide effective school leadership as he/she works with Carman Collegiate and its community to promote lifelong learning that is consistent with Prairie Rose School Division’s Mission, Vision and Values.
The selected applicant for this position will have a strong understanding of the leadership role in educational change in the areas of middle and senior years teaching, highly developed instructional leadership skills in literacy and numeracy, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and demonstrated ability to implement current educational goals, fiscal skills, and knowledge of technological applications in an educational setting.
The selected candidate will be a demonstrated life-long learner who has a Bachelor of Education degree and who is either working towards or has completed a Masters’ degree in education administration, special education, or curriculum development. A Level II Principal’s certificate would be considered an asset.
