Supervising Principal – Hutterian Colony School System
Prairie Rose School Division is accepting applications for a full time Hutterian Colony School System supervising principal effective September 5, 2017.
The Hutterian Colony School System administration office is located in Elie, Manitoba, which is approximately 30 kilometers west of Winnipeg on the TransCanada Highway. The Hutterian Colony School System supervising principal will be responsible for providing administrative and instructional leadership to 17 Hutterian Colony schools with a professional and support compliment of 60 for 469 students.
Each of the 17 Hutterian Colony schools provides multi-graded, K – 8 classroom-based instruction. Grades 9 -12 courses are delivered to all students by high school teachers using the Hutterian Interactive Television System.
The Hutterian Colony School System supervising principal will encourage and foster collaborative school leadership as he/she works with each Hutterian Colony community/staff and the Prairie Rose School Division’s senior administration. The supervising principal will promote lifelong learning that respects the values of each Hutterian Colony community; while ensuring that the division policies and procedures are observed and that all students are supervised in a safe and welcoming learning environment.
The selected candidate will be an experienced leader who has a solid instructional and administrative background in early, middle, and senior years’ education. He/she will also bring an established administrative and school-community facilitator record to the position.
The selected candidate will be a demonstrated life-long learner who has a Bachelor of Education degree and who is either working towards or has completed a Masters’ degree in education administration, special education, or curriculum development. A Level II Principal’s certificate would be considered an asset.
